Chris Sullivan
Paintings
Chris Sullivan is a Cape Town native, born and raised under South Africa's apartheid state. After studying at the Ruth Prowse School of Art in Cape Town, he attended the postgraduate program in painting and mixed media at the Michaelis School of Fine Art in Cape Town. He moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in advertising which evolved into heading his own creative agency in the world of film and television. He balances an award-winning career with the freedom of fine art.

Sullivan's native and adopted hometowns strongly influence his paintings. Now as an Angeleno, he approaches his canvas with the same passion that he has for LA car culture. He creates large scale works in a raw aesthetic that favors texture, bold color and movement, simulating the rubber-meets-the-road POV of a car at speed.

Sullivan currently lives and works in Venice, California.
